I'm super excited about a few things right now!
1) Christmas season is here! Javi and I put up our Christmas tree last night! Getting everything needed for it was so expensive (like the tree, the lights, the ornaments, etc) that we finally resorted to borrowing my parents extra tree and decorations for the year.
Seeing as...
*our tree kept tilting over like it was going to fall
*neither of us knew how to string lights, I took a swing at it. Apparently all those years watching my dad do it did nothing to help me, since little portions of the tree were left unlit :p Javi fixed what parts I messed up though! Yay for teamwork!
...I think it will be a memory that we won't soon forget
2) We also decorated our stockings! :) I'd include pictures but I don't know how to turn them right side up...Everything I'm trying won't let me *annoyed face* But I assure you, they are adorable! We even made 3 small ones for our pets!
3) We picked out our Christmas Angel to shop for! We searched all the options for a boy that wanted something Batman related, Javi really wanted to find a little boy to shower Batman gifts on :p While we were there I asked the guy helping us if they needed any more volunteers and he gave me his card. Now I just have to call and I should be able to volunteer on the weekends whenever they need help! I'm looking forward to it :)
4) I've got most of my Christmas shopping done already, and it's still November! I'm going to enjoy a nice, stress free season this year, i'm not going to waste any time stressing over gifts and what to get for someone! Instead I'm going to enjoy it listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas (and other holiday) episodes of shows, and watching Christmas movies! In fact, I'm making it my goal to watch as many Holiday episodes of shows as I can this year! I've already watched a Rugrats episode a King of the Hill episode, and a Glee episode yesterday! I say that's a pretty good start!
And for a few non Christmas related excitements...
5) I finally got myself motivated enough to go to the gym on a regular basis. The only reason why I didn't go this morning is because I left my good shoes at my parents house and the ones I have here are a size too small (not very fun when I'm running...) But yeah, I'm officially back in the work out mode. Whats even better is that I'm not in a rush to lose weight since swimsuit season isn't around the corner. I can still enjoy my meals ( in proportion of course!)
6) We finally got internet in our apartment!!! (let's forget about the fact that I haven't updated my blog in about 5 days even though I had internet for about half of them...)
7) After almost a year and a half without one of my favorite foods (stuffing) I finally got to eat it again! Javi got us vegan stuffing for Thanksgiving and, although he has had it before, it was my first time trying it. I was weary about it because I thought it wouldn't taste that good, but oh my goodness...it was FANTASTIC! I'm super excited about having a favorite side back on my plate (and in a healthier version! Double win!)
I'm feeling lazy for some reason so that's it for this update!
Until next time,
Tiffany oOO <oh yeah, sideways snowman! :p I'm a dork, I know!
"All the lights are shining,
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Wont you please bring my baby to me"
-Mariah Carrey "All I want for Christmas"
I have heard this song SO many times already this year. Like, a crazy amount of times. It's ok though, I love it! Plus, it's not a song about snow so I don't feel stupid driving around with my windows down to it while its 79 degrees outside (like when I did that yesterday :p )
Do what Steph and I did last year and go shopping the morning after Christmas! Everything is 50 or 75%off and it is such a good deal. We got a bunch of decorations and stuff for our future apartment (which we would have right now if it wasn't for Disney...haha) all for really cheap. We even got a fairly large white Christmas tree with lights included for 30 bucks! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's what we intend on doing. I'm intending on stocking up on the nice stuff after the season is over...and that's a really good deal for that Christmas tree!
