Five Best Fridays

Well, lets jump right into it!

Here is my list of the five best....PHIL COLLINS SONGS!

5. Son Of Man -Tarzan

Ok, so my list is starting out with a Disney song sung by Phil Collins. Not exactly surprising though. This song is encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting. It makes me want to toss on my headphones and go for a run... or you know, maybe jump from vine to vine...kidding!

4. On My Way - Brother Bear

This song is the MOST adorable Disney song that Phil Collins sings. Its not my number one because its not my favorite, but it is so stinking cute! Listening to it makes me want to go out and have a few adventures ... "in the great wide somewhere".......Ignoring the fact that i'm quoting another song entirely. But really, its truly an inspirational song to make you go out and live your life in a new way.

3. You Can't Hurry Love

Finally a "true" Phil Collins song. I've been in love with this song ever since I first heard it on "Sister, Sister", but when I found out that he has his own cover...well lets just say it blew my mind. I can't really pinpoint why I love it, but its so catchy! I catch myself singing the chorus EVERY time.

2. Take A Look Through My Eyes - Brother Bear

My last Disney song! If you actually listen to these lyrics, its a very comforting song. Well, its a comforting song even if you DON'T listen to the lyrics, but I recommend actually taking the time to pay attention. Its a sweet song. You would think that with this being number two I would have more to say, but I really don't. Other than its one of my most listened to P.C. songs!

and lastly....

1. True Colors

Even higher on my list than all the much loved Disney singles is True Colors. Its super sweet, inspirational, and thoughtful. This is actually the song that inspired this list. It came on the radio on the ride home from work a few days ago and my "so-so" mood went straight to happiness. I'm not sure why songs have this effect on me. but this is always one of my go to songs. I literally can not get enough of it.

Well, there you have it. Its certainly not all of the great songs from him, but if I had to choose to only listen to 5 songs from Phil Collins for the rest of my life, these would be it!
