Ok, be patient with me while I talk my head off. I haven't updated in awhile (starting to become a trend unfortunately) and lots of stuff has happened!
Well not only do we have our new coffee table up, but we also made a trip to ikea and got a bookshelf as well. We spent a LONG time trying to decide which one to get (since the one we originally came for was nicer online than in person) and finally made a decision!
Javi put it together for us(thank God he can do that kinda stuff because Lord knows that the last time I tried to build a shelf I got pissed and punched it so hard a shelf broke in half...anger management might be good for me... )
We rearranged our furnature and our apartment looks AMAZING now, it actually feels like home!
Valentines Day has passed now, so I can spill about my gift for Javi. I wanted him to feel UBER special so I decided to go all out for him this year. ALL OUT. I cut out 433 (actually more than that since I messed up a few) hearts - One heart for each day we have been dating. On each heart I wrote a memory of us, which let me tell you. My memory sucks big time so this was no small task for me. But I eventually came up with enough, thankfully! Then I hole punched and strung them all. (This all took place over the course of about 2 weeks)
Over those few weeks I began gathering other materials for the big day. I started searching for candles (and tons of them), I started looking into table decorations, and printing pictures, picking out our dinner menu, etc. I was very very very busy, and completely loving it.
Then came the night before Valentines. I stayed up stressing that I had forgotten something, not thought something through, or just plain overlooked a small detail. This wouldn't seem like that big of a deal, but I had to work on Valentines Day so everything had to be ready to go by the time I was off. Hense all the major planning beforehand.
So while babysitting I blew up balloons (Payton had a blast with them so that was easy), and while she slept I got dinner and dessert ready (with the help of my sister who came over-without her I never would have gotten a can open... Don't ask.)
Then I rushed home and it all started to come together. The dining room was first up. I got the table decorated ( redtablecloth, new white plates, black chair covers, candles, rose petals, etc), hung pictures on the walls (tons and tons and tons) hung up the paper heart chain I made, and hung a few of the hearts up. All of which happened while tripping over about 40 balloons in one small room. Note to self, next time lay the balloons out LAST and maybe you won't end up with bruises all over your legs.
Then came the living room. I hung up the rest of the hearts, lit candles, and laid out more rose petals.
Sounds quick enough right? Wrong. Doing all of the above took me 2 and a half hours...
It was worth it though!! When Javi walked in he almost started crying!
I'll add some pictures to the end of this so you can see! I really miss my laptop at times like this. Normally I would add in pictures as I go, but when I add pictures on my phone they all go straight to the end! Lame.
Anyways. But yeah, Valentines Day was great. All my hard work and time was worth it.
Shout out to my sister who helped me go on multiple shopping trips to help prepare, which included sitting on the floor of the dollar store for 10 minutes while I picked out dinnerware, grocery shopping for like 2 hours, and - attempting- to help blow up balloons. :p
Now that Valentines is over, insert Valentines Day clearance!! And insert me, who has bought way way way too many items. I'm through now, but I was literally obsessed. Literally. Over the course of 5-6 days I went to 2 different targets (about 5 trips total) 2 different Krogers (about 4 trips total) and 2 different Walmarts (2 trips total). And then I had a dream that I went clearance shopping for even more stuff... Yeah. Thankfully I have Javi who didn't judge me for coming home with about 10 bags of stuff....
My craft supply is thanking me though! :) I got some really good stuff for some really good deals! Almost everything I bought was under 50 cents, just don't ask how much I bought :p
I'm looking forward to scoping out St Patricks day clearance and Easter clearance as well! (and you know... The holidays themself....)
I also finally made it back down to Sea World! Javi took me out last weekend and we spent all Sunday there. I got all teary when I saw the killer whales... I can't help it, they are so darn cute! I could literally just sit there all day and watch them swim. Literally, don't challenge me... Actually, please do :) I'd love to prove this to you. Javi was patient and let me watch them for a bit right before the park closed. We had just watched the last show and they let all 5 (6? I can't remember how many... Told you, I have awful memory!) of the whales out to swim as they please. We were those annoying people who stayed till there were no more people in the stadium and even then I didn't want to go. I just wanted to watch them play! I started and ended the day with them.
We also did something I never thought I would do, I rode the rides. Scary stuff. The first one (Great white) was pretty fun, we rode that first and then at the end of the day we came back and rode it again twice in a row. Good thing about going in off season is there are no lines! The other one (steel eel)... Not so great. Actually, it was awful. After the first drop, I was literally going '' I hate this! I hate this! I hate this!'' I'm sure the people on front of me were highly annoyed. Oh well. Javi thought it was hilarious, then when we got off the ride we both agreed we didn't like it and wouldn't ride it again. Thank. You. God. Yes, I had a few tears. And not just my-eyes-are-dry-and-its-super-cold-and-the-ride-was-too-fast fake tears. Actual I hate this tears. Not lots though, I'm not that big of a baby!
Anyways, we had lots of fun going through the rest of the park. We got cotton candy (after asking for it all day!), laughed like crazy at the little girl next to us at the dolphin area (''but how do they poop?! They don't even have butts?!!) AND I beat Javi at a round of air hockey :) score was 5-7 Butttt the game cheated and really wanted me to win. Javi had an extra point on me but the game didn't count it, much to his dismay and my delight :) either way I still beat him though! Whether 5-7 or 6-7. Still a win for me non the less!
That's pretty much it! Payton's awake now so back to work I go!
Until next time,
Tiffany < 3
Not sure why the pictures got loaded in this order, but I don't know how to change it so oh well.
