Ribbons, Lace, and Bows; Oh My...

Ok, lets get this down for the record. I LOVE ribbon, I LOVE bows, and I REALLY love lace. Put them all together and what do we have? Tiffany's mini version perfection (don't worry, that's not all it takes for something to be perfect. Things aren't that simple - unfortunately). But wait! There's more! (Sorry for the cheesiness, couldn't help myself!) Add in the color black and shades of pink? Oh. Gosh. Now we are talking.

I bet more than a few of you are confused. Let me explain what the heck I'm talking about right now. Over the past few days I have been working on making myself a hair clip holder (cause I'm always losing those dang things). I went out to Hobby Lobby and bought a few things (ok, more than a few) to make myself one, since you know, I can never just run out and buy myself one. When I got home, I did some cutting, painting, gluing, and voila!

Isn't it awesome :) I know I should be more modest, but I can't help it! And I shouldn't have to be, I spent A  LOT of time, and even more patience, making it. It's not as easy as it looks! This thing originally started out a wood border, a piece of cardboard, and 2 sheets of fabric-along with all the lace, beads, bows, etc. It was very much so worth the effort though. If you know me at all, you know how much I am in love with it. As hard as it is for me to do this, I'm waiting to hang it up. I want it going up for the first time in our new apartment. I'm having a hard time with that though! I can't wait to proudly display it :)

I also decided I wanted to try making a few hair bows for myself. I'm always wanting to buy more, but I never do because they are so expensive. Soooo I messed around with the ribbon for a bit till I got use to what I was doing and came up with a few different bows that I can't wait to wear!

(These are just 3 of the MANY bows I made They don't all look like this either.)

I also decided that I wanted to make some to sell at a craft show one day. My mom and I decided that next spring probably, we want to try our hands at a craft fair/show and see what comes of it. To start getting ready for it, I started making bows till I ran out of ribbon :)

I was actually making some bows today while Payton was napping. I was doing some thinking while I was cutting and hot gluing. I'm a pretty calm person. I mean, this is how I chose to - and prefer to - spend my time. I have a great time not just making hair bows, but making hair bows that I intend of wearing myself. I was doing so in the downtime that I have while babysitting, the job I choose for myself. Add in the factor that I was not just listening to christian music (cough cough Casting Crowns cough), but full on singing along to all the lyrics. To sum it up, I'm a hair-bow-wearing-babysitter who sings along to christian music. Pretty darn calm if you ask me. While I've done some stupid things in the past, I don't think I even know how to be a crazy and wild 20 year old.

And you know what? I'm VERY much so ok with that.

Now I'm off to go search for dresses to match my new hair bows ; )

Until next time,
Tiffany <3

"Maybe I'm crazy but I'm praying
That an angel will love me,
An angel will love me.
Maybe I'm a fool but I'm still falling
Asking heaven above me
For an angel to love me
The rest of my life.
You're the proof that the Father answers prayers
Cause somehow, someway
You and I are standing here
With the sacred promise
And a ring that says it all.
I've just begun to fall
From the deepest part of me I say 'I do'"
     -Casting Crowns "Angel"

So, surprise surprise, its CC lyrics again. But its a good song you guys! I'm serious, go listen to it. It's one of the few CC songs that is not directly about God, Its a song that he sung for his wife, and it's so cute! I know it by heart almost since i've listened to it so many times. I'd really like to dance to this song with Javi at our wedding, Ill see what he thinks :)
